Have Fun and Support Local United Way Agencies
Proceeds from the Mayo Lake Cyclysm will benefit the Person County United Way. The 2006 Lake Hyco Cyclysm raised over $10,237 for the United Way. We would like to thank the 117 registered cyclists and numerous volunteers that made last year’s tour a great success. Our goal for this year is $15,000 and 150 cyclists.
You can ride as an individual or as part of a team. Either way you will gain a sense of personal accomplishment by accepting the physical challenge of riding 75K and the satisfaction of knowing that you have helped make life better for hundreds of local children by raising funds for local United Way Agencies. And you’ll have a great time doing it! The Mayo Lake Cyclysm Bicycle Tour is a great event for friends, families and cyclists of all abilities. The tour is also a great way to make new friends.
Teams
Forming a team is a great way to build teamwork among employees and friends while demonstrating your community involvement. It’s also easy:
- Organize four or more cyclists from your workplace, church, school, civic club or family and friends
- Choose a team captain and team name
- Set a team fund-raising goal
- Register your team with the Kiwanis Club of Person County
- Start collecting donations to the United Way and qualify for team and individual prizes
