We're Here to Help
Whether you're looking for information about MS from the Local Chapter or the National Website, this is the page you need. We'll link you to the sites you need, including to MS Event sites.
For over 40 years the Eastern North Carolina Chapter has remained committed to providing quality programs and services, raising vital research dollars and improving the lives of more than 5,400 individuals living with MS in eastern North Carolina. Visit your local site to learn what your chapter can do for you and how you can become involved with your chapter.
The National MS Society is a collective of passionate individuals who want to do something about MS now—to move together toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. MS stops people from moving. We exist to make sure it doesn't. Our Mission: We mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS. Visit the National site to learn all about symptom management, new research, and much more.
Bike MS is a 2-day cycling event that raises funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis in eastern North Carolina and throughout the United States. Money raised through this event funds MS research, programs, services, and advocacy. In 2011, over 2,600 participants raised $1,677,423 to create a world free of MS. This year, our goal is to raise $1.7 million!
Walk MS is our rallying point, a time and a place for us to stand together and to be together — to help raise critical funds that support cutting edge research, drive change through advocacy, facilitate professional education and provide programs and services to help people with MS move their lives forward. Join us next spring at one of our five Walk MS locations in eastern NC as we come together as a community to walk and raise money to end MS.
Challenge Walk MS: Charleston Challenge, set on the beautiful South Carolina coast, is an experience that will truly change your life and help create a world free of MS. There is a $1,500 fundraising minimum to participate as a walker in the Charleston Challenge 2012 (in addition to registration fee).
